Since 2010, Lindsey Nicole Henry Scholarships have provided qualifying students with a school voucher to attend a private school of their parents’ choice. Under this Oklahoma state law, Henry Scholarships help parents/guardians cover the cost of tuition at eligible private schools.
Do you know a student who is eligible? Henry Scholars are students with special needs or disabilities, were adopted from foster care, are in an out-of-home foster care placement, have a military parent who transferred from out of state or out of country, are in an out-of-home placement through the Office of Juvenile affairs, or been served by SoonerStart.
The Henry Scholarship by the Numbers:
· The average Henry scholarship value was $7,056 during the 2019-2020 academic year.*
· Approximately 100,000 Oklahoma students are eligible to apply for Henry Scholarships.
· There are 996 students currently receiving Henry Scholarships.*
· 68 participating private schools accept Henry Scholarships to help pay for tuition. (March 2021)
